ABOUT US
Morgan Perry is the founder of Vino Vinyasa Yoga. Morgan's wine experience started in wine marketing and PR at an agency in New York City, but it wasn't until she took a trip to Chile that she truly fell in love with wine. She returned to New York and began taking Wine and Spirit Education Trust classes to learn more. She now has her Advanced Certification, which she passed with distinction.
While living in New York, Morgan discovered yoga as a way to relax, de-stress, and stretch her tight muscles that she got from running. (Fun fact, she has run both the Napa to Sonoma and Oregon Wine Country Half Marathons!) After about six years of being a yoga student, Morgan took the next step in her practice and became a certified yoga teacher. It was shortly thereafter that Vino Vinyasa (formerly Yoga Unwined) was born in New York City in early 2017. Morgan now resides in Austin, TX, and offers her signature yoga & wine classes in NYC, Austin, and Los Angeles.
Tara Marsh, Vino Vinyasa Teacher, NYC
Tara is a graduate of multiple yoga and acro-yoga teacher training programs. She has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and teaches in studio, event, and corporate settings. Her philosophy is simple: yoga is for joy. Her style of yoga is less herbal tea and more fermented grape. Tara incorporates a range of movement backgrounds into her yoga practice to blend strength, flexibility, and grace of movement, with the pursuit of stillness and cultivation of compassion.
She worked in the wine industry in Napa and has her Intermediate Certificate in Wine & Spirits from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust. Tara is excited to combine her two passions by joining the Vino Vinyasa Yoga team. Follow her on Instagram @starrayoga.
Rafaella Fontes, Vino Vinyasa Teacher, NYC
A young gymnast turned yogi, Rafaella became a yoga instructor through YogaWorks after years of practicing. She is also a wine enthusiast who is currently a Champagne Brand Ambassador. Prior to that, she worked for an importer in NYC selling wines from across Europe. Rafaella and Morgan instantly connected through their shared passions of yoga, wine, and travel when they met when Vino Vinyasa was in its infancy, and Rafaella has been a part of the Vino Vinyasa Yoga team ever since.
Penelope Glifort, Vino Vinyasa Teacher, Austin
Penelope has been a practicing yogi since 2006, completing her 200YTT in 2014 through Black Swan Yoga. Power Vinyasa is her main teaching style with an emphasis on beginners. Using a controlled, energetic, and physical style of instruction, students are able to enhance their strength, flexibility, and grace. Her goal is to continue to grow as an instructor who helps students open up to their potential to live rich and fulfilling lives. Penelope is also passionate about wine and the incredible journey from vine to table! She studied Wine Fundamentals through The International Sommeliers Guild and looks forward to continued education.
Ali Martin, Vino Vinyasa Teacher, Chicago
Ali has been practicing yoga nearly as long as she has been pouring wine for thirsty Chicagoans. She developed a strong passion for wine while working her way from dive bars to Michelin-starred restaurants, eventually taking it upon herself to earn her level two certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers. In a similar fashion, after over ten years of being a devout yoga practitioner, Ali finally became a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance in 2020. Her intention is to always be learning and sharing. Combining the worlds of wine and yoga is such a dream come true. Ali is so excited to bring Vino Vinyasa Yoga to Chicago!
